This course prepares the student with hands-on training by a certified instructor. Some of the areas of instruction you will receive are as follows:
· Up to two hours of onshore face-to-face instructor training.
· Up to 3 hours of hands-on or observation on water training.
· Understanding the required items to be on the boat.
· Safety briefing, understanding the weather, Minimum, Fuel, safety briefing, water, food. and when to go or not go.
· Operations of the boat components, the Steering wheel, Throttle, and Anchor.
· Proper engine start.
· Docking and undocking.
· Turns, Pivot Turn, Man overboard, Emergency Turn.
· Sandbar avoidance and recovery.
· For a fee (as agreed with the instructor), launching the boat.
